Ooh La La Property Styling
1. Services Provided
Ooh La La Property Styling provides professional property styling services designed to prepare your property for sale. Services may include both internal and external styling. A detailed quote will be provided outlining the proposed services and estimated costs.
2. Changes to Services
Should your circumstances change, services may be amended by mutual agreement. Any changes to the scope of works may incur additional costs.
3. Confidentiality
All personal and confidential information shared with us will remain strictly confidential. We will not remove or disclose any confidential information without your consent unless required by law.
4. Pets
Any pets residing at the property must be disclosed prior to quotation and installation.
5. Unoccupied Properties
Where the quote specifies the property as “Unoccupied,” the property must remain fully vacant for the duration of the hire period while our furniture, décor, and styling items (“Display Stock”) are installed. This includes pets.
The property may only be accessed briefly for cleaning, maintenance, or inspections where necessary. Overnight stays are strictly prohibited.
If the property is occupied during the hire period, a $500 cleaning and reinstatement fee may apply.
6. Partially Occupied Properties
If the quote specifies that certain rooms are to remain unoccupied, those rooms must not be used for the duration of the hire period. This includes pets. A $500 cleaning and reinstatement fee may apply if these rooms are occupied.
7. Property Readiness Prior to Installation
All trades, repairs, painting, cleaning, renovations, and maintenance works must be completed before the scheduled styling installation date.
If the property is not ready upon our arrival, we reserve the right to reschedule the installation to the next available date and charge any associated delivery or reinstallation costs.
Carpet cleaning must be completed a minimum of 48 hours prior to installation to ensure carpets are completely dry.
8. Cleaning Requirements
The property must be professionally cleaned prior to installation. If the property is not presented in a suitable condition, installation may be postponed and additional fees may apply.
9. Purchased Items on Your Behalf
Where we purchase goods or accessories on your behalf, we act solely as your agent. Any warranties or claims relating to faulty or defective goods remain the responsibility of the retailer or manufacturer.
10. Authority of Real Estate Agents
You may authorise your real estate agent to communicate and make decisions regarding styling matters on your behalf. Any instructions or approvals provided by your agent will be considered binding, and you accept responsibility for any associated costs.
11. Plant Hire
We may engage a professional plant hire company for styling purposes. During the hire period, access must be provided for plant maintenance and servicing. Plants must not be watered or handled by anyone other than the appointed plant hire company.
12. Property Access
A lockbox must be installed and accessible prior to installation and remain available for the duration of the hire period. If a lockbox is unavailable, keys must be provided to Ooh La La Property Styling for access to the property.
13. Hire Period & Collection of Display Stock
All Display Stock remains the property of Ooh La La Property Styling and must be returned at the end of the agreed hire period, upon auction sale, or once contracts have exchanged — whichever occurs first.
You agree to provide reasonable access for collection at a time suitable to our schedule. Hire fees are charged for the full agreed term and are non-refundable if the property sells earlier than anticipated.
14. Notification of Sale
It is your responsibility, or that of your agent, to notify us once the property has sold. Collection of Display Stock will then be scheduled accordingly. Depending on availability, collection may take up to 14 days from notification.
No additional hire fees will apply if pickup occurs after the initial hire period due to scheduling availability. If urgent removal is required immediately after sale, at least 14 days’ notice must be provided.
15. Extension of Hire Period
Should you require an extension of the hire period, weekly extension fees as outlined in your quote will apply and must be paid in advance. Partial weeks are non-refundable.
16. Liability & Insurance
While every care is taken to protect your property and belongings, Ooh La La Property Styling maintains Public Liability Insurance in the event of accidental damage. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
17. Care of Display Stock
You are responsible for ensuring all Display Stock remains in good condition during the hire period.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property and near outdoor furniture. Candles, diffusers, scents, incense, and air fresheners must not be used while styling items are in place.
Any loss, damage, staining, or excessive wear to Display Stock may result in repair, cleaning, or replacement charges.
18. Use of Styling Linen & Accessories
All linen, towels, soap, and decorative accessories are supplied for display purposes only and must not be used. If used, charges may apply including dry cleaning, replacement costs, and a $100 handling fee.
19. Movement of Display Stock
Display Stock must not be removed from the property or relocated between rooms without prior written consent from Ooh La La Property Styling. Clients must not dismantle, pack, or relocate any styling items prior to collection.
20. Photography & Marketing
You consent to before and after photographs being taken during the styling process and grant permission for these images to be used in advertising, marketing, social media, and promotional materials.
21. Artwork Installation
To achieve the best presentation outcome, artwork may be professionally installed using nails or hooks where required. While hooks may be removed upon collection where possible, minor marks, holes, or wall touch-ups may remain.
22. Styling Decisions & Revisions
Styling selections and layouts are determined by our professional expertise and tailored to suit the property and target buyer demographic. Styling is not based on personal taste.
Should you or your agent request changes after installation, a minimum call-out fee of $200 will apply, plus any additional associated costs.
23. Cancellations
Once a booking has been confirmed and a deposit paid, time and inventory are reserved exclusively for your property.
Should you cancel the booking, Ooh La La Property Styling reserves the right to charge 50% of the quoted amount or invoice for services and costs already incurred.
24. Payment Terms
Invoices are payable within 7 days of installation unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments may be made via bank transfer or other approved payment methods.
Late payments may incur a 5% late fee. Hire fees are non-refundable and non-prorated if the property sells before the end of the agreed hire period.
25. Client Cooperation & Force Majeure
The success of our services relies on client cooperation and adherence to these terms. Ooh La La Property Styling is not responsible for outcomes affected by failure to comply with these conditions.
We are also not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, supplier delays, illness, accidents, or unforeseen emergencies
